Schemes For Rehabilitation to be Introduced by Uttarakhand Government


The Uttarakhand Government has identified land for the welfare of villages damaged by June disaster. The plan has been made to relocate those villages and initiate and promote vocational trainings for women so that they can become breadwinners of the family.
The women who have lost their breadwinners in the tragedy have been identified to benefit them from these schemes.
The process of removing stranded people safely is over, the efforts now have been started by the government to rehabilitate the affected people. This was told by Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Vijay Bahuguna at a press conference in Dehradun. Bahuguna added that food grain shortage will also be fullfilled soon. The government has decided to set up grain banks from where locals can take foodgrains in case of necessity.

The proposal regarding all these will be submitted soon and is very clearly hoped to be accepted. Ambika Soni was also present at the conference. She expressed her satisfaction over the rehabilitation work being carried out. The prayers at Kedarnath are expected to resume soon. According With her, the distribution of compensation work is complete. Harish Rawat was also there and he told media that Mansarovar Yatra has been cancelled due to unavoidable reasons.
