Auli, the beautiful winter destination in Uttarakhand every year welcomes skiers to its slopes, which rise to heights of 2,500-3,000 meters. Auli’s ski slopes are perfect for every level and for everyone, from beginners to professionals. This is a very popular destination among the foreign tourists as well. Apart from the enjoying the snow and skiing, you can also enjoy the most beautiful sunrise and sunset views here. You can also plan a trekking to the Gurson Bugyal – a snowy meadow. And you must enjoy Asia’s Longest Gondola Ride, Chair Car Ride – Joshimath-Auli chair car ride, which is 5 Kms long. If you love snow, the best time to visit Auli is from November to February. Auli weather in winters is extremely cold, particularly at night the temperature goes down to -2 degree Celsius.

Munsiyari
Munsiyari in Pithoragarh lies at the base of the Himalayas and offers plenty of activities and adventures for those who seek it. This serene place is offbeat destination and getting popular among the bikers. Munsyari is a perfect destination for those who love nature deeply and want to reconnect with the Mother Nature and with them as well. There are many places to visit in Munsyari - Munsiyari Khaliya Top is a high altitude gentle slope meadows located at a distance of 7 km from Munsiyari. Munsyari is an Ideal site for skiing and adventure sports. Betuli Dhar in Munsyari is about 5 km. from Munsiyari. Madkot in Munsiyari is 22 km from Munsiyari. Madkot has hot water springs which cure rheumatism, arthritic pains, skin eruptions etc. Birthi Fall is about 19 Kms. from Tejam on the Munsiyari motor road. Birthi Falls, as the name suggests, are quite spectacular for its waterfalls. The best time to visit Munsiyari is from April to June if you want to beat the heat and in winters best time to visit Munsiyari is November to February.

Binsar
Ah! Another off-beat destination Binsar, where you can spend days after days exploring its nature trails and hills and in watching the glowing peaks Himalayan Mountains. The weather is not too cold and the views are incredible. The people are warm-hearted and friendly, as you will find in most of the destinations in Uttarakhand. A winter getaway to disconnect yourself from the rest of the world and get connected to nature. Perfect place to meditate and rejuvenate yourself. Do not forget to visit Binsar Zero Point, which is located in the heart of the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary Almora and is the highest viewpoint from where one can savour a 360-degree view of the various peaks of Himalaya. Binsar weather is cold at night in winters and bright and sunny in the daytime. In summers Binsar weather is very pleasant, neither too cold nor too hot.
Chopta
Chopta, the tiny town has its own little luxuries, and the starting point of two of the most incredible Himalayan treks: Chandrashila and Tungnath. If you are a beginner in trekking, these two treks can get you going. Stunning views, snowfall, peaceful nature and thrill of trekking makes Chopta one of the favourite winter destinations. In summers, the best time to visit Chopta is from April to November (including monsoon season) and in winters the best time to visit Chopta is from December to March.
